5 Questions for the Love Canal Panel

  1. Why do you think the area is safe/unsafe?
  2. Even after 30 or 40 years are chemicals still in the air, water, or land?
  3. Would you ever live in the Love Canal area or somewhere in a close proximity to it?
  4. If this disaster were to happen again, do you think that people will come back to the area?
  5. Would the toxic waste be able to come up from the ground again after a long series or rain and snow fall?

    1) After all these years, how much of the original chemicals are still left?

    2) How many people have moved back into the community?

    3) Are people still having birth defects?
